Landslide outside Kampala

Help us save villagers and orphans from a landslide in Uganda

UPDATE FEB 5, 2025: WE HANDED OUT BLANKETS AND FOOD AND MEDICINE BUT THIS STILL NEEDS TO BE FUNDED. WE NEED MORE BLANKETS, FRESH WATER TAPS INSTALLED INTO THIS COMMUNITY, CLOTHING AND SHOES FOR PEOPLE WHO LOST EVERYTHING. IF YOU WANT TO SEND CLOTHES THEN LET US KNOW AND WE CAN GIVE YOU AN ADDRESS.

August 9, 2024 a landslide of garbage happened in Kiteezi Uganda. We have an emergency response unit currently in the Kiteezi Landslide area near Kampala that is assisting with supplies and delivering courses about survival skills.

Our volunteers in Kiteesi surveyed 29 Kiteezi villagers to find out what we needed to know to help their community following the deadly landslide that left over 50 people dead and hundreds homeless and starving.

We also have a volunteer trained nurse who has set up a tent to help people with needed medicines and assistance.

We need immediate help with donations for food, blankets, water, medicine, shoes and clothes.

Over 200 survivors who are living in tents have lost everything and hundreds more people are homeless and living with friends.
The landslide happened at 7am and at the time 9 kids were out playing so escaped getting buried with their parents but, sadly, are now orphaned. We need to find them permanent homes.

This is really happening and we need help.

A small donation can help save lives and care for newly orphaned kids.

Every penny you donate will go directly to those in need, no fees, not even transaction fees will be deducted.

Our volunteers are on the scene, delivering aide.
